STATISTICAL LEADERSHIP

By investing in productive partnerships, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) ensures that Australia's statistical system:

• is supported by relevant and useful statistical standards
• efficiently and effectively meets the needs of governments and communities
• continues to have global relevance.

The ABS has four key statistical leadership programs, the National Statistical Service Leadership program, the State and Territory Statistical Service program, the International Relations and Regional Statistical Development program, and the Statistical Data Integration Leadership program. Leadership on specific topics, methods and capabilities is also undertaken by statistical and statistical infrastructure programs.
